Ahmed Khattab

Dr. Khattab is currently holding the position of consultant cardiologist at Bern University Hospital – Switzerland and was appointed Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine. Before he moved to Switzerland last year, he was directing the cardiac catheterization laboratories at the Heart and Vascular Center Bad
Segeberg – Germany. He is leading clinical and research programs in the field of structural heart interventions, myocardial infarction and complex coronary interventions. Khattab completed his medical education at Ain Shams University Cairo – Egypt and gained his Masters degree and Medical Doctorate degree in Cardiology from the same University. Dr. Khattab is member of several international academic boards and serves as a consultant for several medical device companies.

Albert A. Hagege

Vice-president of the French Society of Cardiology, Professor of Cardiology at Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou, and is a member of the Institut National de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM 633), Paris, France. He is involved in the clinical and experimental aspects of heart failure and cardiomyopathies, particularly concerning new therapeutic modalities, imaging and genetics. He was involved in the first experimental and clinical works concerning the use of cell therapy in myocardial diseases and recently became European Coordinator of a Transatlantic Leducq Network devoted to mitral valve diseases, particularly in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
He has more than one hundred international publications concerning genetics, cardiomyopathies and new therapies for heart failure.

Hans Erik Boetker

Is interventional cardiologist, professor of cardiovascular medicine at Aarhus University and codirector of Department of Interventional Cardiology at Aarhus University Hospital, Aarhus, Denmark. President of the Danish Society of Cardiology and board member of EBAC. Clinical education and research career at Odense and Aarhus University Hospitals and University of Texas HoustonMedical School, Houston, TX. He has published 140 papers in international per-review journals mainly within cardio protection, myocardial metabolism and interventional cardiology. Author of ten book chapters in international textbooks of cardiology and internal medicine.
